2010 Brabus Mercedes-Benz E-Class Practices

Fresh on the heels of the debut of both the S500-engined Brabus Mercedes GLK V8 and the Brabus G V12 S Biturbo G-Wagen, Brabus has yet another precision-tuned monster in the form of the 2010 Brabus Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Like it’s fellow Brabus brethren, the Brabus E-Class receives a major boost in power with a slightly tweaked version of the E550’s 6.1L V8 engine that now produces 462-horsepower and 453 lb-ft of torque. Now capable of sprinting from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.7 seconds, the Brabus E-Class transforms one of Mercedes’ comparatively more sedate sedans into an ass-hauling AMG-fighter.

As is often the Brabus custom, the aesthetic modifications made to the Brabus E-Class are relatively understated. Up front, the iconic E-Class smile gets a total Brabus makeover with the addition of a new front bumper, LED headlights, fog lights, and fender vents, while the back end sees the addition of a new rear spoiler, apron housing, and chrome tailpipes. On its feet, the Brabus E-Class gets Brabus-exclusive Monoblock wheels with size options ranging from 17″-20″ in diameter, as well as a fresh set of Pirelli or Yokohama performance tires. Visible only to the trained eye (and technically not an “aesthetic” modification…), the Brabus E-Class also receives a powerfully augmented brake system with bigger, vented and cross-drilled caliper discs.

Inside, custom additions include illuminated stainless steel Brabus sidesills, ergonomic Brabus-designed sport steering wheel, and Mastik/Alcantra leather upholstery options. An upgraded DVD-integrated multimedia system is also included, replete with the ubiquitous 7-inch LCD screens in the headrest – but since it’s Brabus, we’re not taking points off for that.
